To: ALL RESIDENTS:
First, we would like to thank all of you that have been using the recycling containers and recycling whatever you can to reduce our garbage. We encourage ALL of you to use this recycling service as it does have a significant impact not only on our garbage rates, but on our planet as well.
Please download and refer to the Mower County Recycling Acceptable Materials List Acceptable Materials List and please USE THAT SHEET when you are preparing to deposit your recyclables. Please follow those guidelines and remember.
Absolutely No Plastic Sacks or Bags - If you use them to carry your recyclables, dump out your recyclables and either reuse the bag to haul them again or place the bags in the trash.

• NO STYROFOAM OR PEANUTS


• NO JUNK MAIL


• REMOVE ALL CAPS FROM PLASTIC BOTTLES OR CONTAINERS


• NO FURNITURE OR ELECTRONIC ITEMS.

ALSO, IF YOU HAVE LARGE CARDBOARD BOXES, please take them to the Mower County Recycling Center Center which is extremely close by at 1105 8th Ave. N.E. Many times, excess cardboard fills our garbage dumpster and is very inconvenient to all the other residents. If you have any electronic or furniture items, please contact our waste provider to dispose of them. Again, we thank those of you who are recycling and hope that those of you who are not will do so now.
